helping business to trade internationally

Research

Fieba's strategy has been derived from basic research undertaken at Manchester Business School and the University of Nottingham Business School, in the UK.

The findings of the research demonstrate that:

  • Traffic to a web site is primarily determined by the number of
       other sites linking to it;
  • The companies with a significant market share are best placed
       to utilise the Internet;
  • The Internet is assisting markets to consolidate;
  • It is more effective to implement a service in numerous web
       sites with customer traffic than to encourage the end
       customers to visit a specific site to access that service;
  • Staff at Fieba contribute to the research undertaken at Manchester Business School and The University of Nottingham Business School.

    Key areas for research are:

  • Techniques for reducing product development cycles;
  • Adapting international products for local markets;
  • Impact of the Internet on market structures;
  • Co-authored papers are listed below. Some recent papers that do not have copyright restrictions are downloadable from the links provided. If you would like to be notified when new papers are available please send an e-mail to: feedback@fieba.com
